Trallalero is a distinctive polyphonic folk music tradition from the Ligurian region around Genoa in northern Italy. The genre is characterized by its use of nonsense syllables (tra-la-le-ro) and vocal imitation of instruments, particularly the guitar-like 'chitarra' voice part.
