Ambrosian chant is the liturgical plainchant tradition of the Ambrosian rite in the Roman Catholic Church, primarily associated with Milan. It represents one of only two officially sanctioned plainchant traditions in the Catholic Church, alongside the more widespread Gregorian chant.
